The Oakland neighborhood inWest Ashley is between Savannah Highway and the Intracostal Waterway south of the end of I-526, and the West Ashley Greenway. The Oakland neighborhood is accessed by Arlington Drive from Savannah Highway. The Oakland neighborhood is bounded on the north by the West Ashley Greenway and Clayton Drive, on the east by East Shore Lane, on the south by South Shore Drive, and to the west by Clayton Drive. The Oakland neighborhood has approximately 149 homes. The majority of the homes are traditional mid size brick ranch homes. Most of the homes are situated on small to mid size lots with some mature Live Oak trees. Oakland neighborhood consists of a combination of rental homes and homeowners.
The majority of the homes were built from 1960 to the late 1980’s. There are approximately 149 homes in the Oakland neighborhood today. The home values range from $90,000 to $150,000 and their size ranges from 1,000 to 1,500 square feet. During the past six months no homes have come on the market and 4 home have sold, or are currently under contract during the same period ranging from $93,500 to $150,000.

The Oakland neighborhood in West Ashley is a desirable neighborhood that is close to downtown Charleston. Oakland is a quiet neighborhood, yet it is just a few minutes away from the heart of Downtown Charleston, West Ashley Shopping, close to the West Ashley Greenway, local beaches, I-526 and much more.
